Many Uses of Flower Petals
from: Lawn and Garden MagicWhen you think about flower petals, what kind of flower first comes to mind? For most people it's rose petals since they're the most common flowers used for weddings and special occasions. However, there are many other flower petals that have many different uses. Let's discover how to get the most out of flower petals.
For romantic purposes, you're probably thinking about bouquets of flowers, usually roses. However, you should know there's more to flowers than roses. Flower petals have different usages and here a few you may never have thought of:
Flower petals tossed on the bed are usually seen in movies, but this also happens in real life. If you'd like to know more about places you can toss flower petals, just ask some newly weds, they certainly know about this.
Picture flower petals floating in the bath tub -- yes, that's more of a girl-thing. In my entire life, I haven't seen men soaking in a bath tub with petals afloat, have you?
Making a trail, an exciting way to use the petals to create a romantic atmosphere. Don't do this if you're playing hide and seek, okay?
Putting loose petals on top of a ceiling fan is also romantic. When you turn the fan on, you'll be surprised to see flower petals flying all over you. Hopefully you're not a jumpy type and don't get too startled.
Have you thought of decorating a dessert with flower petals? You can do a creative presentation the way you see plates mostly in a party or as edible flower petals in a salad. Just make sure the petals are really of the edible kind. You can also put flower petals in your drinks.
Why not get naked and cover yourself with petals, but make sure there isn't wind, otherwise you'll have a petals-free self. Remember the movie American Beauty? You'll remember the girl in the movie doing exactly that, -- covering herself with rose petals.
Use flower petals to create bar soaps or candle and dried petals can also be put in a fancy jars for decoration purposes.
Rose petals can be worn on your hair as you've seen at weddings and use them as decoration for a photo album or a scrap book.
Including some flower petals in a letter or card adds a romantic touch.
As you can see, there's a lot of fun things you can do with flower petals, not just for romantic purposes. Be creative!
