In Europe, lilies are used as a remedy for many kinds of sicknesses and diseases. However, you must be careful if you have cats because lilies can be poisonous to them.
Feng Shui believers take the lilies as symbol of summer and abundance. The meaning of lilies to the Chinese is forever in love. Lily was also the holy flower of Assyrians and has been decorated in the coat of arms of the kings of France since 1179.
