Bonsai is an ancient gardening and art form that requires a lot of study to practise it successfully. Certainly books will be helpful, however a most enjoyable and interesting way to learn about caring for your Bonsai is by joining a class. Training classes gives you hands-on practice since proper techniques for pruning, thinning, wiring and repotting will be demonstrated for you. It's a great way to learn by watching a professional, which will also make it easier to understand the reasoning behind each technique.
Classes
Bonsai classes teach everything from the basics to advanced techniques. You can locate classes by checking with your local branch of any Bonsai club.
